The backbone of my work is informed by empirically-sound mental health care protocols from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

In addition to these models, I have specialized training in somatic coaching, a modality that leverages findings from neuroscience and principles of embodiment that are foundational to Eastern traditions. Somatic work is highly experiential and fosters deep awareness and integration by leveraging the body's innate intelligence. I was certified in this modality by The Strozzi Institute –– the world’s oldest and most comprehensive somatic coach training program –– in 2018.

I practice culturally-responsive care, and take an anti-oppressive stance in my work. I integrate trauma-informed care, harm reduction techniques, as well as sex-positive and gender-affirming care. I am committed to radical inclusion, doing all I can to ensure psychological safety and prioritize trust, integrity, and attunement in my working relationships.

I always adhere to the highest ethical standards in mental health care: HIPAA compliance, ongoing clinical supervision, and making referrals should client need exceeds my scope. When necessary, I use clinically validated assessments to ensure clients are a good fit for coaching.
